Sony Pictures is in early development of a biopic about the late rapper Ol’ Dirty Bastard with his cousin and Wu-Tang leader RZA attached to produce. RZA addressed the possibility of the ODB biopic with  Rolling Stone  back in January. “I think it’s a great idea, and there have been talks about it,” he said. “There are a few wheels in motion with one done by our first cousin Rayshawn; he was the young guy there watching everything that happened. “Him and ODB’s wife have been talking and he has a pretty interesting script. I just saw a 12-minute teaser that he shot about a year ago and it felt pretty fucking cool. Written and directed by Oscar winner John Ridley ( 12 Years A Slave ), the movie covers one year in Hendrix's life -- 1966-67. Is it so he can play Richard Pryor in an upcoming biopic? It hasn’t been confirmed just yet but a few strong clues have  revealed  that actor Nick Cannon may be taking on the role as legendary comedian Richard Pryor soon. Specifically, a recent  interview found Cannon dancing around the possibility in a way that coyly acknowledges the rumors while also saying absolutely nothing.  For the past week, Nick has been on  Instagram  posting vintage black and white shots of Richard. This is a coveted role and you can be sure his estate and family take it very seriously. "So all I’ll say is that I’m doing the work right now.
