Man of Steel kicked off its world premiere in New York City on Monday, and stars including Henry Cavill and Amy Adams and  Actor Laurence Fishburne  were out to celebrate. Filmmakers had  another crack at DC Comics’  Superman , as  Man of Steel  had its world première, with the first non-American to play the cinematic lead, Henry Cavill.     The film had its première in New York on Monday night, with the presence of Cavill, Kevin Costner (as Jonathan Kent),  Amy Adams  (as Lois Lane), Russell Crowe (Jor-El), and Laurence Fishburne. In "Man of Steel," Superman does something none of his previous screen versions has ever done. No, not fly. Christopher Reeve did that in 1978. And not bounce bullets off his chest. BENTONVILLE, AR, and BURBANK, CA – April 24, 2013 – Superman fans, mark your calendars! Walmart announced today that it has partnered with Warner Bros. to give its customers exclusive access to see Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ “Man of Steel” in theaters nationwide before the film’s official release. This program  marks the first time in entertainment history that a studio has partnered with a retailer to provide such an opportunity for fans. Tickets for the exclusive screening of “Man of Steel,” will go on sale in more than 3,700 Walmart stores starting at 8 a.m. on May 18. Customers will be able to purchase up to four tickets per visit, and have the option to choose between 2D or 3D showings, where applicable.  From Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures comes  "Man of Steel" The latest Superman reboot, Man of Steel , won’t hit theaters until the summer of 2013, but a newly-released trailer has fans of the franchise filled with excitement. The film is directed by Zack Snyder ( The Watchmen ) and produced by Christopher Nolan, who also directed and produced The Dark Knight trilogy.  Man of Steel tells the story of Clark Kent, an alien infant raised on Earth, who grows up with superhuman abilities. He then sets out to use those abilities to guard and protect his adopted world. This version of Superman appears to be more gritty, and darker than the last time we saw the superhero on the big screen in 2006′s Superman Returns .
