Work on the "Little Wing" phase of the guitarist's hometown Seattle park set to begin in April Jimi Hendrix circa 1968. A park dedicated to the guitarist in his native Seattle will begin construction in April.  After four years of fundraising and planning, construction on the Jimi Hendrix Park in Seattle is set to begin in April.  The Jimi Hendrix Park Foundation and the city of Seattle announced that development company ERRG, Inc. had won the bid to start work on the two-and-a-half acre stretch of land dedicated to the legendary guitarist in the city's Central District adjacent to the Northwest African American Museum, with a completion date penciled in for the fall.
