Nicki Minaj Performs a Sultry 'Chun Li' & 'Rich Sex' Medley At BET Awards 2018 The 2018 BET Awards took place Sunday at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater,  Kendrick Lamar ,  taking home to most prizes, for best male hip-hop artist and album of the year for “DAMN.” Beyonce was crowned the best female R&B/pop artist, and Cardi B won for best female hip-hop artist. Migos snagged the best group award, while SZA took home best new artist. Jamie Foxx hosted the show. Anita Baker received the lifetime achievement award. Quvenzhane Wallis, Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz get the unenviable task of updating the classic musical. The first trailer for the new  Annie  movie is here, giving fans a peek at the modern-day revamp of the 1982 musical classic. Beasts of the Southern Wild  star Quvenzhané Wallis shines as the film's titular heroine, stuck in a New York City orphanage run by the evil Miss Hannigan (played by Cameron Diaz). Jamie Foxx stars as wealthy politician Benjamin Stacks (the remake of Daddy Warbucks), who strikes up a public friendship with Annie in the name of good publicity. This updated version, which is set to hit theaters on Dec. 19, puts a new spin on the original's beloved music, including auto-tuned pop versions of "Tomorrow" and "It's the Hard-Knock Life." The film is being directed by Will Gluck and produced by Jay-Z and Will Smith. Other cast members include Rose Byrne, Bobby Cannavale and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.

FOXX - KING- STONE.. ALREADY AN OSCAR NOD! If you haven't heard the news, Jamie Foxx signed on to another blockbuster film with director Oliver Stone, and it has OSCAR written all over it! Check out who Foxx is prepping to play this time! It looks like Jamie Foxx will be taking on another potentially Oscar-worthy biopic role in the near future. Foxx previously won an Academy Award for Best Actor in 2004 for his portrayal of Ray Charles in " Ray ," and now it looks like Foxx will get the opportunity to dive into the mind of Martin Luther King Jr. for an upcoming biopic. Foxx has been selected to play the role of peaceful civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. The pair previously worked together on Any Given Sunday and have since both received praise for their work on biopic films. Quvenzhané Wallis is the lead role of the film adaptation of Annie.    This is our first look at the new  Annie.  Pint-sized Oscar nominee Quvenzhané Wallis was in  New York  on Wednesday for the first  official  day of filming the Will Smith and Jay Z-produced modernized musical reboot.   we saw her last week riding a bike, presumably in character  — but for the record, those shots were taken during pre-production of the film. Wallis brings all sorts of adorable to the role of everybody's favorite little orphan. Jamie Foxx tries to catch Quvenzhane Wallis as she falls down while filming a scene for their movie musical remake of Annie And, based on her remarkable turn in "Beasts of the Southern Wild," we're sure she'll be able to provide the requisite spunk to "Annie."
