Explore Batman v Superman's incredibly detailed Batcave in Google Street View

Image
Bruce Wayne's Residence Movie sets are often an illusion — unlike real places, they're only convincing from certain camera angles. The same can't be said for the set of Bruce Wayne's home and secret Batcave in Batman v Superman. Google Street View has partnered with Warner Bros to show off the truly impressive complex , which is full of weaponry, lab equipment, computers, and little details about Batman's past. Of course, the new Batmobile is front and center, and you can find Batman's armor and Robin's (Joker-vandalized) costume inside the lair. Like the rest of Street View, you can view this in virtual reality if you have Google Cardboard or a number of other headsets, like the Gear VR. Even if the movie struggles to stand up on its own, there's no denying that director Zack Snyder's team has done a very nice job bringing Bruce Wayne's residence to life. The Street View experience starts at Wayne's minimalistic home, though onl...

Laurence Fishburne: "Batman v. Superman" movie has connection to Motor City

Image
The entire Batman vs. Superman cast had fun hanging out in Detroit while shooting the film, but actor Laurence Fishburne found one special spot in the city famous for nightlife and jazz, and also believes that the characters in the film have a real connection to the Motor City. "Batman and Superman -- they are products of a Midwestern America. They are not from New York or LA, they are from the middle of the country. ... So they have to be from Chicago or Detroit," he said. Fishburne plays the head of the Daily Planet in "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice," but the 54-year-old award-winning actor found a spot he loved while making a movie in Detroit. "I will say that one of my favorite places in the world that I've ever been to is a place called Cliff Bells," he said. "I walked into that place and I was like, 'I need some of this in my life.' It's an amazing place." According to Fishburne, to creat...

Obama cheered in Havana at start of historic visit to Cuba Cuban citizens look as Air Force One lands at Jose Marti Airport in Havana.  HAVANA, March 20 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama arrived to small but cheering crowds on Sunday at the start of a historic visit to Cuba that opened a new chapter in U.S. engagement with the island's Communist government after decades of hostility between the former Cold War foes. The three-day trip, the first by a U.S. president to Cuba in 88 years, is the culmination of a diplomatic opening announced by Obama and Cuban President Raul Castro in December 2014, ending an estrangement that began when the Cuban revolution ousted a pro-American government in 1959. The visit comes more than a year after the White House moved to normalize relations with America's previous Cold War-era foe. Last fall, the U.S. embassy officially opened in Cuba, resuming diplomatic relations with the island nation. Since then, the...

Jerry Seinfeld auctions off 17 cars for more than $22 million.  Jerry Seinfeld's Porsche Carrera GT prototype failed to sell at auction.  Don't feel too bad—his other cars racked up $22 million. Jerry Seinfeld woke up this weekend a few Porsches lighter -- and millions of dollars richer -- after selling 17 collectible cars he put up for sale Friday at auction. The comedian's cars -- 15 Porsches and two Volkswagens -- brought in $22,244,500, including $5,335,000 for just  one  of them, a 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder that was only slightly younger than 61-year-old Seinfeld. The "Seinfeld" star showed up to help get the crowd pumped, according to the auction house, which said the '55 Spyder sparked "a lengthy bidding battle" before the gavel finally came down. Hey, it takes some time to count that high, right? Seinfeld had previously said in a statement that he loved owning the cars and if he had unlimited time, space and attention he...
