SALT LAKE CITY —
Angela Alexander, former fiancée to one of Utah’s most heinous serial
robber and rapist, has began to pin her own account, in a tell-it-all
“True Crime” Autobiography and has set a date for her non-fiction novel
to press in mid June, 2012 just days after Helaman Jose Bar Pragana, 23,
of Kearns, is scheduled to be sentenced on June 8th Pragana plead guilty to:
* eight counts of aggravated robbery, * four counts of aggravated kidnapping, * two counts of aggravated burglary, * two counts of aggravated sexual assault, all first- degree felonies; and one count of attempted aggravated kidnapping, a second-degree felony. An additional 22 charges against Pragana were dismissed in exchange for his guilty plea on March 9th. Pragana targeted as many as 18 victims over the course of his eight-month crime spree. According to charges, Pragana forced several women at gunpoint to withdraw money from ATMs by either forcing them to drive to ATMs and withdraw money or by approaching them while they were at ATMs and demanding money. He sexually assaulted many of the women he approached, charges state. In a statement issued by District Attorney Sim Gill, he called Pragana's plea, "justice for the victims and communities he terrorized." |
Angela
Alexander seemingly, was the only witness to come forward that could
clearly identify Pragana” as other victims’ were unable to clearly
identify their assailant.
Had Pragana not plead out, Angela would surely have had to lend her damming testimony against Pragana at his trail, assuring his conviction. *It is duly noted that Angela turned Mr. Pragana into authorities after putting 2 and 2 together and realizing that the man she and her children where building a life with, was in fact, the same man authorities called, a serial robber/rapist. |

Angela has opened a WEBSITE
that breaches the veil she has been living under for quite some time.
The website focuses on the hurt and horror of domestic violence with
graphic pictorials of herself after several beatings by her then fiancé,
Pragana, and neatly explains some of the situations she has had to deal
with.
Angela is now living in a shelter with her four small children. |
Angela’s
story thickens with the heart-wrenching reality that she is excepting a
child in mid May; Pragana's first born son. She finds herself faced
with public ridicule and her deep abiding faith as a mother. Angela has
set her book to a backdrop of physical violence, deception, betrayal,
unimaginable unmentionables as well as, the truth. She says she “wants
to tell her side in terms many other victims’ can relate to and
hopefully encourages them to run for help.”
She has not spent her time frugally these past months, Angela has successfully completed a domestic violence and rape counseling certification and is already speaking to large audiences in her state, all while establishing a not for profit organization she so named; “Mended Wounds” to help other victims’ like herself. Now she is writing her first book, whose descriptions are understood to be a factual account of her own harrowing experiences. Angela intends to take her book on the road as a tool to aid other victims’ of egregious violent acts.
