C.A.E.’s “STOP THE VIOLENCE” STUDENT RALLY AND CONCERT- featuring recording artist Vaughn Anthony

(Canton, Ohio, April 18, 2012) Community Arts Experience (C.A.E.) in association with Hartford Middle
School presents a "Stop the Violence" student rally and concert featuring recording artist VaughnAnthony. The event will be held on Friday, May 4th 2012 at 1:30 p.m. on the campus of Hartford Middle
School located at 1824 3rd street S.E. Canton, Ohio 44707.

Vaughn Anthony, a native of Springfield, Ohio is also the younger brother of Grammy award winning
R&B sensation John Legend. Vaughn Anthony is a noted up-and-coming singer in his own right who
has committed to use his platform for bringing awareness to social issues and youth empowerment.
Hartford Middle School also welcomes the brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. to share in a
panel discussion commencing at 12:00 pm with a focus on the importance of education, accountability,
and perseverance.

With the recent upturn of violent events targeting youth both nationally and locally, now is the time to
mobilize our community and take a peaceful stand against this behavior. Coming Together Stark
County, Stark Social Workers’ Network, Pastor Carrie Enterprises, Community Coalition Against
Violence (CCAV), Kre-8 Youth Empowerment Project, and KMF Entertainment will also stand with
Community Arts Experience in an effort to equip our youth with the necessary skills to resolve their
conflicts constructively rather than destructively.

Initiated in 2008, Community Arts Experience is a 501(c)(3) mentoring arts academy that provides 21

Century Learning skills to Stark County, Ohio youth 7 - 18 years of age.  Community Arts Experience
has identified and developed eight focus modules of technical instruction to promote distinctive
experiences for youth with various interests’ in careers within the arts community.

Community Arts Experience has an all encompassing diversified business model strategically designed to educate students utilizing S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) initiatives in
curriculum development based on National and State standards.
