Oprah, India Arie and Sheila Raye Charles to Celebrate Andrew Young’s Birthday in Atlanta, GA - May 20th

Atlanta, GA: Oprah Winfrey, Grammy Award-winning artists India.Arie; daughters of legendary musical icons Ray Charles and Nina Simone, Sheila Raye Charles and Simone, respectively; Dallas Austin; Edwin Moses; Laura Turner Seydel and a host of other celebrities to sing happy birthday to the Honorable Andrew Young

The statesman, businessman and humanitarian is turning 80 years old and supporters and friends of the former U.S. Ambassador are coming together in Atlanta on May 20, to celebrate his extraordinary life of service with celebrity performances and messages from those he’s inspired.

Hosted by the Andrew Young Foundation, which supports and promotes education, health, leadership and human rights in the United States, Africa and the Caribbean, this will be a celebration of the life and legacy of one of the civic leaders of the world.

Comic Jonathan Slocum, and actress, dancer, writer and producer, Jasmine Guy will serve as the evening’s master and mistress of ceremonies.
