Laurence Fishburne, Jon Hamm, Jennifer Westfeldt and Stephanie March spoke to a packed house at the Obama Campaign office on Highway 6 & 50 Saturday night. The actors are launching "Vote for All" events in Grand Junction as part of a cross-state effort to urge Coloradans to vote.
Just a few miles away, Zachary Quinto, Rachael Leigh Cook, Ben McKenzie, Nick Zano and Bryan Greenberg spoke to students at Colorado Mesa University.
"It’s important for them to get out and make a choice, whatever choice they decide to make we can all respect that. But I think it's important that people not just sit by and do nothing and let other people take care of it," actor Laurence Fishburne said.
"That this campaign has turned out this level of enthusiasm for this long, and the fact that we can come here and bolster that enthusiasm, I mean it's inspiring to me. I'm excited by it," actor and ‘Mad Man’ star Jon Hamm said.
"This whole day in Colorado has been fantastic the people here are so motivated and they are so enthusiastic. I must say initially when I understood it was a swing, I was really worried. But spending a day here I feel excited," actress Stephanie March said.
"We all know that we have a lot further to go and we're excited to get there, everyone we met today is inspired and excited and united and fired up! Let's move forward," actress Jennifer Westfeldt added.
The actors thanked volunteers for their efforts to get President Obama re-elected. They also encouraged supporters to vote early. They'll travel to Nevada on Sunday to continue their tour.
