Downtown Stone Mountain to Commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington.



A Commemorative Event for the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington will ensue with a Special Announcement by Former Georgia State Senator Steen "NewsLady" Miles



In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the historic March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom and Dr. King’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech, this event will coincide with international celebrations of Dr. Martin Luther King’s prolific speech and nonviolent protest for racial equality.

The event is set for Wednesday, August 28th from 10:00 am - 11:00 am in the The Village of Stone Mountain at the Gazebo and will include music, singing, speeches, and a very important announcement by the irrepressible, former Georgia State Senator, Steen "Newslady" Miles.

The Village of Stone Mountain Gazebo is located at the 900 Block of Main Street in Downtown Stone Mountain, Georgia.
