Michelle Obama Releasing Rap Album ft Dr. Oz

"Songs for a Healthier America" will promote the first lady's focus on healthy habits.

The First Lady of the United States is about to become the First Lady of hip-hop.
Michelle Obama has teamed up with Partnership for a Healthy America on a rap album called "Songs for a Healthier America!
Obama does actually not sing on the album, but she does make cameos in the form of spoken word pieces. But don't be disappointed, because Dr. Oz does rap on one track, entitled, "Everybody," which also features Doug E. Fresh and Jordin Sparks.
The upcoming 19-track CD supports her "Let's Move" anti-childhood obesity campaign.

Jay-Z’s much anticipated album dropped last month and it was pretty good. Now, America is waiting, watching closely for the next big rap album -- first lady Michelle Obama’s.

The first lady is debuting the Songs for a Healthier America album to spread the word about getting active. The album will include songs like,
“U R What You Eat”,
“Veggie Luv”,
“We Like Vegetables”, and “Get Up Sit Up.”

No, Michelle Obama isn't trading formal speeches for informal rap battles, but she did recruit some big names for the album.

“Everybody. Tell somebody. It’s your body. Come on.”

“Hey Dr. Oz.”

“What’s up Doctor O?”

“Time to get involved, let the whole world know.”

“Just the other day, they see me on the show. Didn't know I had style, didn't know I had flow.” And there’s “Hip Hop FEET” with DMC and Artie Green.

“This is the song that we call ‘Go’. Finding Your Energy Thresholds. Stop moving so slow, cause slow’s too low. But, if you’re moving too fast, I gotta say whoa.”

A writer for The Daily Beast says --

-- when Beyonce released “Move Your Body” in 2011 to promote the launching of Mrs. Obama’s “Let’s Move” campaign.

You can make your own judgement about the rap videos, but a re-focused effort on America’s obesity problem seems to be making a dent.

The U.S. recently fell out of the top spot as the world’s fattest country, getting inched out by Mexico. Nearly 32.8% of Mexico’s adults are clinically obese, compared to 31.8% in the U.S. (Via New York Daily News)

Still, there’s currently no release date for the album and no word yet if President Barack Obama, who has some singing chops of his own, will make the cut.

The album hits the streets next month. Watch the video for "Everybody,"
Checkout Jordin Sparks, Doug E. Fresh, Dr. Oz, Ryan Beatty and the Hip Hop MD....and definitely don't turn away until Dr. Oz's verse:
