Sep. 18, 2013 - MANHATTAN, N.Y. -- United Kingdom based, African Leadership Magazine will present in New York City USA, a conceptual forum entitled- “The African Investment & Development Awards"




As Africa's attractiveness as an investment destination continues to soar, the African Leadership Magazine looks forward to welcoming participants, to join the Vice President of the Republic of Seychelles, Danny Faure, on behalf of thePresident of the Republic of Seychelles, His Excellency James Michel, as one of our confirmed guest speakers for the 2nd African Investment & Development Awards holding on 25 September 2013, at the St Regis Hotel, New York city, on the margins of the High-level meeting at the United Nations General Assembly's 67th session in New York City.

 This event will honor Dr. Paul Orhii, Director General of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) - Nigeria. The African Leadership Magazine will also celebrate and award the life and times, post-humus, to the late Nigeria social crusader, KEN SARO WIWA of Ogoniland.

An African Development Bank report recently put the total portfolio of investments into Africa in 2012 at $20.15 Billion, while projecting an increase by 30% in 2013. Savvy investors, institutions and businesses already know this and are taking steps. This forum is therefore a unique platform for furthering the discussions on harnessing the huge potentials that Africa has to offer. 

 The event, which is organized by the African Leadership Magazine, is therefore expected to have key African Policy makers, US Congressmen and think-tank Captains of industry, institutional investors and businesses, members of the diplomatic corps, African international development partners and the international media. The public is invited to take advantage of this event to propel their business and networks to the next level by participating at these very powerful platforms.

The Conference, themed "Harnessing Economic Co-operation with Africa - the Emerging Frontier" shall bring together business and policy leaders from across Africa and Europe will be converging in London to chart a new course for business engagement, networking and trade between both continents.
