Back in Session: Spike Lee’s ‘School Daze’ Sequel On the Way

With 2013 marking the 25th anniversary of “School Daze,” many are wondering if there is a chance  Spike Lee might release a sequel to the classic film.

In the past there has been talk, but there has been no confirmation of a follow up until now. Spike Lee spoke with Black&Sexy TV and revealed that a script has been completed.
“I had the script for ‘School Daze,’” said Lee. “But, what people have to understand is that it’s a contemporary version. So it’s the same Laurence Fishburne to play Dap. He’ll be the president now of the school. And we would deal with issues around Historically Black Colleges today.”

Lee said the movie will still delve into many of the same issues that the youth faced in the late ‘80s, while taking on new subjects such as the pledging process and homophobia.

'Passengers' Cast Chris Pratt & Jennifer Lawrence Team Up for New Movie

Georgia’s film industry is growing one movie at a time. The next major motion picture to film in the Atlanta area is Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt’s new movie ‘Passengers’. Tom Rothman gave the thumbs-up to  Passengers  with a budget of about $120m after tax incentives. Sony Pictures has just given the nod for the production of 'Passengers,' an interstellar romance starring two big names of Hollywood - Christ Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence. People reported that both the stars are expected to get two paychecks for the upcoming film It's set on a spaceship, the cast is the same size as Gravity's, and the budget is huge.  But what else do we know about 2016's biggest sci-fi film?
