Fancy That: Rapper Iggy Azalea Leads 2014

AMA Noms

The 2014 American Music Award nominations  are out and everyone’s favorite big-bootied white Australian rapstress Iggy Azalea is on top of the nominations count with 6 nods. John Legend, whose hit song “All of Me” is this year’s wedding standard was right behind her with five nominations, along with Katy Perry andPharrell Williams while Lorde picked up four.

Other nominees include Beyonce, Imagine Dragons, Drake, Eminem, U.K. blue-eyed soul star Sam Smith and crooner Luke Bryan.
This year, the top award, Artist of the Year, will expand to ten options, until fan voting takes it down to five competitors by showtime. Similarly, the Song of the Year expands to five choices from the previous  year’s three.
Fans can vote starting today in all categories except New Artist of the Year on AMAvote.com and on Twitter.
If you vote via Twitter, you must tweet the artists’ name, their nomination category and add the #AMAs hashtag.
Voting begins for  New Artist of the Year on Nov. 1 and closes in the first hour of the live show on November 23.
