Kingston RI— Claudette
King, the daughter of the ultimate
king of the blues, B.B. King, is slated to perform in Kingston RI at the
Center for her only area concert on SEPTEMBER 19 beginning at 8PM.
Claudette King is the youngest performing daughter B.B.
King. Her genre areas include, Blues, Country and, R&B. King says that “The
Blues” is quite literally in her DNA. Trained in the gospel of the Baptist
church since age 13, Claudette cites her father as her main inspiration. Inheriting
her father’s gift for music, Claudette, growing up in the San Francisco Bay area,
is mindful of how her father was constantly on the international concert
circuit as the tireless Ambassador of the Blues
"My inspiration is my
dad", says Claudette, who. Listening to the radio and her mother’s collection
of record albums, she soaked up the joyous singing of notables like Aretha
Franklin, Chaka Khan, Michael Jackson, and Mahalia Jackson.”
Claudette King can be described as dynamic, amplified and
downright sassy. She exudes a confidence that perhaps was born of her struggle
to prove who she is and at the same time, carve out her own identity.
Now living in Atlanta, Claudette has had the life
experiences to make lyrics mean something. Traveling across the world exciting
and wow-ing audiences at every turn, she has a natural ease in shifting with
the mood of each lyric.
But most certainly, the power of Claudette's enthusiasm for
the splendid genre-blending music on her debut "We're Onto Something"
merits wide notice. More can be found at: www.claudetteking.net
