Jada Pinkett Smith slams Golden Globes over Girls Trip snub

When the Golden Globe nominations were announced Monday (December 11), one film was glaringly absent from the list: Girls Trip. The film—which hit theaters over the summer and starred Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith, Regina Hall, and breakout star Tiffany Haddish—was unanimously praised by critics and killed it at the box office.

 The fact that it didn't earn a nomination for Best Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy) and that Haddish was ignored in the Best Supporting Actress category is problematic, to say the least.  The actress posted to Twitter on Monday (December 11) that she had "so much to say" about why Haddish and the film were snubbed by the Globes, but that she was going to remain tight-lipped. That didn't last long, though: On Tuesday (December 12), she opened the floodgates, calling out the "antiquated system" that made the Hollywood Foreign Press Association ignore Girls Trip.

 This isn’t the first time Jada has used her platform to voice her concerns. She was one of the integral names at the heart of the #OscarsSoWhite debate.

'Passengers' Cast Chris Pratt & Jennifer Lawrence Team Up for New Movie

Georgia’s film industry is growing one movie at a time. The next major motion picture to film in the Atlanta area is Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt’s new movie ‘Passengers’. Tom Rothman gave the thumbs-up to  Passengers  with a budget of about $120m after tax incentives. Sony Pictures has just given the nod for the production of 'Passengers,' an interstellar romance starring two big names of Hollywood - Christ Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence. People reported that both the stars are expected to get two paychecks for the upcoming film It's set on a spaceship, the cast is the same size as Gravity's, and the budget is huge.  But what else do we know about 2016's biggest sci-fi film?
